INFO

  • AutoCal for Microsoft Outlook allows you to quickly and easily add items to your Outlook calendar from the main toolbar.
  • You simply enter the appointment details as you would "think" it, for example "3pm tomorrow Meeting with Fred".  AutoCal with extract the required information and create a calendar entry automatically.  The new appointment is previewed as you type in your details.
  • Versions available for Microsoft Outlook 2003 and 2007
  • Requires Microsoft .NET Framework V2.0 available from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=37283

  • New Release - Version 1.0.4 [05 April 2007]
  • V1.0.4 allows you to set no reminder by entering "r-"
  • V1.0.4 checks this website once per week and notifies you if an update is available.

TIPS

  • To create a new appointment, simply type in your appointment details and press [ENTER].
  • The minimum requirement is a subject.  If no start time is specified, it will default to the next 1/2 hr.
  • Use a space to separate sections of your entry.
  • Use a hyphen to separate the start and end times/dates.  For example, 3pm - 4pm.  If a start time/day entered is in the past, it will default to that time the following day.
  • AutoCal guesses most dates and time entries.  Some examples you can use;
  • 3pm tomorrow
  • 3pm friday
  • 3pm mon
  • 15:00
  • 3pm 15/05/07
  • To specify a reminder time, prefix the number (in minutes) with a "r".  Example: r45
  • To specify a location, prefix the location with the word "at".  Example: at Marketing Department
  • To explicitly specify a subject, place it in double quotes "".  Example: 3pm wed "Arrange tennis for Friday"
